I began my educational career at Essex County College in Newark, NJ where I earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts. From there, I went on to study English Language and Literature at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusettes, earning a Bachelor of Arts. I took a short break before setting my sites on Boulder, Colorado and enrolling in Naropa University’s Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics where I earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. A few years later, I enrolled in Drew University’s (Madison, NJ) Doctor of Letters program, focusing on ancient texts. Due to medical issues, I completed my coursework and wrote part of my dissertation but never completed the degree. After a bit of a hiatus, I was accepted to New Jersey City University’s Doctor of Education program. Unfortunately, after completing 38 credits and writing the first two chapters of my dissertation, the program was shuttered. Since this was my second shot at a doctorate, I refused to be deterred and transferred to Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ. I am, currently, completing the last of my coursework and writing my dissertation on the impact of the Manosphere on Community College Student Persistence.
It has been an incredible journey, and I have loved every minute of it!
